The Consumers’ Association of Ireland have issued a press release relating to the 97 written complaints they received re the Barbra Streisand concert in Celbridge. (The CAI is a voluntary organisation dedicated to protecting consumers’ rights. The statutory body, The National Consumer Agency, has yet to issue a report.) They say that MCD will be issuing their own response to the complaints they received in the week beginning September 10th 2007.
From the press release:
The Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act, 1980 provides for the consumer to expect that:
- The supplier has the necessary skill to provide the service and that;
- The service will be provided with proper care and diligence.
This, clearly, was not the case in this instance.
