This press release was issued today by Conor Coughlan, author of the recent Johnny report on Hate Crime.
Once again attacks against members of the ‘gay community’ (LGBT) in Dublin continue. Members of the community are being systematically attacked and now we have fresh evidence. The Pearse street superintendent has issued a warning to the gay community advising them about the current wave of crimes.
The attacks have targeted gay men in the lane ways around Dame Street and once again around Christchurch. The attacks have occurred late in the evening and into the early hours of the morning up to 4am. The attackers are a group of about 5 males and 2 females but the number varies at different stages.
