I had a great time, I’m really glad I went to the Irish Blog Awards, and to the tech meet beforehand. There are loads of people I was really delighted to meet. I took loads of red-eyed photos (which I’m sure you can fix up yourselves) so please add your name in a comment if it’s missing or if I got it wrong, or let me know if you want one taken down. I know I should namecheck everyone I met with links and backlinks/trackbacks but: (a) I have a horror of leaving someone out, because I hate to be left out myself, and my memory is hopeless, and (b) I’m too, erm, “tired”, it’s late. I went from the awards to the Dragon for a pint and was chatted up by an African American New Yorker on the DL called Eric, who was great fun until his date arrived, a 6′2″ man in drag called Sabrina. Then he dropped me like a stone. Blogging suddenly seemed like an interesting thing to do instead.
Well done to Twenty Major for his well-deserved wins and congrats to Damien Mulley for a great success. It was lovely to meet so many people in the flesh. I met at least two potential marriage partners, but of course that won’t surprise one of them.
