Gardai have arrested a 17-year-old from the South inner city who they say has admitted to savagely attacking gay men over the last year. Last month, Southside People revealed how officers were investigating two separate attacks on gay men at St Audeon’s Church, which they believed were linked.

Good news. Fair dues to the local paper for carrying it. I wonder how long it will take before this piece of news reaches other media in Ireland? The silence from them when Gardaí issued an appeal for witnesses was deafening. (Although I would like to be corrected on that, if anyone knows differently). They would not have ignored the appeal if it were women who were being attacked and left for dead.
